Recycling Unit in rural Tasmania

Read the Annual Report or Case Study here

“Milca saw a gap in her local community and took it upon herself to do something about it - she founded the Dover and Far South Recycling Unit.

She developed a recycling unit where items that are considered "difficult to recycle" can be brought to one place and actually get recycled. Items include oral care, small batteries, plastic blades, pens and markers, makeup products, plastic bread tags, x-rays, empty blister packs, coffee pods, ink cartridges and some electronics. “

-Necessity is where this project started. And then, because it's become such a success, the community decided to keep it.-
